Denmark and Finland battle it out in Copenhagen on Matchday 1 in Group B. As one of 12 host nations, the Danes will be looking to make home advantage pay. Check out our full betting preview for the latest team news, match odds and betting tips and predictions.

Denmark 🇩🇰 Team News
The Danes were unbeaten in qualifying (W4 D4) but couldn't manage to top Group D, finishing runners-up to Switzerland. They'll be looking to evoke the spirit of their Euro '92 campaign, which saw then emerge as surprise winners of the tournament.
Kasper Hjulmand, Denmark coach...
"We shouldn’t go out and lose a match because we’re not well enough prepared. We shouldn’t lose because we didn’t want it more than our opponents. And we shouldn’t lose because we don’t play our best. We must leave everything on the pitch and do everything we can to win."
Denmark Predicted Lineup
Schmeichel; Mæhle, Kjær, Christensen, Wass; Eriksen, Højbjerg, Delaney; Poulsen, Wind, Braithwaite
Key Player: Christian Eriksen
The former Ajax and Tottenham midfield man is at the heart of every move for the Danes. The experienced midfielder always looks comfortable on the ball, and his creative flair will be crucial to unlocking opponents defences. He'll also contribute with goals, usually from dead-ball situations.

Finland 🇫🇮 Team News
Finland makes their first-ever major final tournament appearance. They'll be looking to cause a few upsets, especially against well-known opponents in Denmark. They qualified after finishing second to Italy in Group J with a record of P10 W6 D0 L4.
Markku Kanerva, Finland coach...
"Denmark have a very good team. If we look at their last few matches, they've had some magnificent results and have scored a lot of goals. Their defence has worked and they have some great individual players. Denmark are a really tough team and they get to play on home soil, but we have proved we can challenge even bigger countries than Denmark."
Finland Predicted Lineup
Hradecky; O'Shaughnessy, Arajuuri, Toivio; Uronen, Kamara, Sparv, Lod, Raitala; Pukki, Pohjanpalo
Key Player: Teemu Pukki
Pukki is plying his trade in the English Championship with Norwich. The prolific marksman got the Canaries into the Premier League, but even though he maintained scoring form, his goalscoring prowess was not enough to retain top-flight status. Pukki is equally as prolific for his national team, scoring 10 of Finland's 16 goals in qualifying. He also chipped in with an assist, which meant he was involved in nearly 70% of all Finlands qualifying goals.

Denmark v Finland Head to Head
Although regular opponents over time, these two teams haven't played each other for nearly a decade. That said, the Danes have the upper hand over their Nordic neighbours with a record that reads P59 W39 D9 L11. Their dominance is even more evident when playing at home. Denmark's last loss in Copenhagen against the Finns came in 1949, and their record on home soil since reads P21 W18 D3 L0.
Denmark v Finland Match Prediction
The Danes will be too good for Finland on home soil. But in Teemu Pukki, the Finns have a serious goal threat and could easily register on the score sheet.
